This organization formed in March of 1993. The original members were students of the first class of Mining given
at the Copper Mountain College, hence our name - First Class Miners. From the original 20 members we have
grown over the years to an organization of more than 100 members. On May 6, 2005, the organization incorporated
in the state of California.

The club has a library that is maintained by the Club Librarian. The Librarian brings the library to club meetings for
all members to enjoy. Members may check out books, videos, magazines or whatever material is available. The
items should be returned at the next meeting. The library is made up of donated items only.
